The King

8. Crocodile

One of the most powerful animal on earth.  They have by far the strongest bite of any animal.
The snap has been clicked at Ranganthitu Bird Sanctuary. River Cauvery flows slowly around a small piece of land creating a small island near Srirangapatna ( near Mysore). This is the nesting & breeding place for various migratory birds from all over the world.

HDR

5. View from Sinclairs hotel - Ooty

Snap #4 and #5 are HDR images. HDR stand for High dynamic range imaging.
It is a process whereby one uses multiexposed images and blends them into one final image. I generally take pictures at +2EV,0,-2EV and use Photomatix to get the HDR image. Though Adobe Photoshop CS2 has also introduced the feature to generate HDRs. I find Photomatix better and easy to use.  There are good tutorials on HDR at the websites of Adobe Photoshop and Photomatix.
